The following stories were either written or dictated by girls participating in the Girl ’s Empowerment Project. The girls talk about their pasts, daily lives and what they wish for the future. They chose to tell their stories because they want to represent the voices of thousands of other invisible children living in Kenya.
The identities of the girls have been changed for protection reasons.
