Heshima Kenya Receives a Funding Award from the US Department of State

In September 2009 Heshima Kenya was awarded a grant from the US Department of State Bureau for Population, Refugee and Migration. This award will help support Heshima Kenya's programs, especially for girls and young women who suffered from or continue to experience threats of sexual and gender based violence and exploitation. Given the nature of the population we serve the PRM grant will engage us to highlight this issue and deepen out impact in the community. Heshima Kenya was honored to welcome PRM Assistant Secretary Eric Schwartz during his visit to East Africa. The State Department highlights Heshima Kenya's work here
